REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS USING PATIENT ACCESS ACCOUNT (double click to proceed to the EMIS Patient Access web site.)
Repeat Prescriptions
All repeat prescriptions are computerised and you will be given a request slip listing medications which you can order without seeing a doctor. If you have been issued with a repeat prescription request slip please tick the items you need and then post the slip into the white box at the surgery entrance.
You can also post in your repeat slip with a stamped addressed envelope.
Alternatively, you can order online via the link at the top of this page. New users are required to complete a simple registration prior to using the service. Please contact reception and ask to register with EMIS Patient Access.
Repeat prescriptions will be ready in 2 working days (excludes weekends and public holidays) from the time they are received e.g. If you hand it in on Friday at 10am it will be ready for Tuesday the following week at 10am Items that are not on repeat will be ready in 3 working days (excludes weekends and public holidays) from the time they are received e.g. If you hand it in on a Friday at 4pm it will be ready on Wed the following week at 4pm. Please remember not to include weekends and bank holidays.
Please note that we are unable to take prescription requests over the telephone. This avoids mistakes being made, keeps our telephone lines free, and provides our reception staff with more time to deal with more urgent patient enquiries.
Prescription Collection Service
Please check with your local pharmacy to find out whether they provide a prescription collection service.
Medication Reviews
Our patients who are on repeat medications will usually be reviewed annually. Please speak to a member of reception staff if you have received a note in your prescription indicating that this is now due.
