Urinary Tract Infections
Ladies, did you know that you may be able to go directly to a pharmacist for help?
If you are a female aged 18 to 60, not pregnant, and not allergic to the antibiotic 'trimethoprim' then the pharmacist at Asda or Boots the Chemist (either the High Street or at Fife Central Retail Park) would be able to assist you if you meet one of the following two criteria-
- You have both pain when passing urine and urinary frequency (going often), or
- You have either pain when passing urine or urinary frequency (going often),
and
you also have at least two of these additional symptoms -
- urgency |
- passing more urine than usual |
- discomfort in lower tummy. |

Meal Makers is a local neighbourhood food-sharing project that uses an online platform to connect volunteers of any age who have a passion for cooking and want to be active in their communities (Cooks), with older neighbours over the age of 55 (Diners) who would appreciate a home cooked meal.
